Diseases of the retina like retinal detachment, proliferative
Diabetic Retinopathy, Vitreous hemorrhage, trauma, intraocular
foreign bodies can be treated in a painless manner through a
technique, which uses no injections, no sutures, and is
completed in less than 20 minutes. In this process Endo laser is
used to strengthen the retina. Under topical cryoanesthesia the
conjunctiva is reflected and two port entry made into the eye.
Using Langhans lenses the posterior segment is visualized and
vitrectomy done. This is coupled with endolaser which seals
leaky areas and further reinforces the retina. The patient can
leave immediately after the procedure.
