This is a no hospitalization, no suture technique in which the
pressure inside the eyeball is reduced by making a small laser
assisted opening in the angle. (anterior chamber angle). Here a
O.9mm opening is made in the clear area of the cornea. The laser
fibreoptic is passed into the eye and a 380-micron opening is
made in the angle of the anterior chamber. This small opening
facilitates the outflow of the aqueous and hence a reduction in
the intraocular pressure. After the procedure the patient can go
home.
